Betty Lois Thomas

Rayne—Funeral services for Betty Lois Thomas, 66, of Rayne will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M.  Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Ms. Thomas passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:25 A.M. in a Rayne care facility.

A native and longtime resident of Rayne, Ms. Thomas was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She was an animal lover who cared very much for her dogs, Sassy, Chocolate, and Nittie.  Ms. Thomas loved wrestling, plastic canvas crafting, and the Atlanta Falcons.

Survivors include her mother, Ethel Breaux Mouton of Rayne; sisters, Brenda Hollier and husband, Emery of Rayne, Becky Boudreaux and husband, Donald of Rayne, Elaine Miller of Crowley, Tammy Thomas, and Bonnie Thomas; brothers, Fred Castille, Jr. and wife, Marie of Church Point, Lynn Peter Castille and wife, Rosa of Scott, and Beau Mouton and wife, Becky of Rayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding Ms. Thomas in death were her father, Wilbert “Blanc” Thomas; stepfathers, Fred Castille, Sr. and Doris Francois Mouton; Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clemille Breaux, and Mr. and Mrs William Thomas; and brother, Randal Thomas.
