Loretta Bollich Cooper Gaspard
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Loretta Bollich Cooper Gaspard announces her passing on the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Eunice Manor at the age of 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 30, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Dustin Dought as celebrant.
Loretta was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She played the organ for St. Lawrence Catholic Church and St. Agnes Chapel. She was a loving mother to five children, Carol C. Feucht and husband Benny of Eunice, Randel Cooper of Lake Charles, Sharon C. Murphy and husband Jim of Eunice, Kenneth Cooper and wife Debbie of Ville Platte and Wendy Cooper of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was a wonderful sister to four brothers, Gerald and Donald Bollich, both of Eunice, Lawrence Bollich of Mowata and Gregory Bollich of Eunice; five sisters, Clara Miller of Lafayette, Sylvia Lintzen of Eunice, Barbara LeJeune of Egan, Diane Elkins of Denver, Colorado, and Judy Hollier of Lafayette; and a loving and wonderful grandmother to nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Andrus; her parents, Frank and Barbara Zaunbrecher Bollich Jr.; her husband, Louis Gaspard; her children’s father, Burnis Cooper; two brothers, Austin and Elmo Bollich; and a sister, Elaine Turk.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, June 29, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Monday, June 30. from 8 a.m. until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday.
