Rayne All-Stars continue tournament play

A number of Rayne boy’s all-star teams participated in super regional tournaments over the weekend as post-season action continues.

The boy’s Pinto Frog Sox traveled to their Super Regional Tournament in Youngsvville over the weekend. They were awarded the runner-up banner Monday evening, qualifying for next week’s Zone Tournament for the 8-and-under World Series in Schetz, Texas near San Antonio.

Both boy’s mustang league all-star teams traveled to Erath for their Super Regional Tournament over the weekend and into the beginning of the week due to weather conditions.

The Outlaws, with a weather delay earlier in the week, were scheduled to meet the hosting team in the finals Wednesday evening.  With a win, the Outlaws will attend their South Zone Tournament next week in Burleson, Texas. 

The Shockers fell short in two games and were awarded medals for their participation.

The Bronco Rivals All-Stars also traveled to Youngsville for their Super Regional Tournament. They placed third overall, but with a withdrawal of the second place team, the Rivals qualified for continued play next week in their South Zone Tournament in Burleson, Texas.

The Rayne Girls Pinto League Gators, the lone girls’ team still in action, are now preparing for their Zone National Tournament slated the last week in July in Youngsville.
