Mary Adeline Roberts Fruge
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Iota for Mary Adeline Roberts Fruge, 80, who died July 17, 2014, at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Rev. Randy Trahan and Rev. Glen Putman will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Saturday from 1 p.m. to the time of service
Mrs. Fruge was born in Pollock and graduated from Pollock High School. She was a surgical technician at American Legion Hospital in Crowley. Mary worked for Dr. Stickley, Dr. de la Houssaye; and Dr. McNeeley. She was a member of the V.F.W Post 6720 Ladies Auxiliary in Crowley.
Mrs. Fruge is survived by her husband of 47 years Joseph Fruge of Basile; three daughters, LaDonna Wampler and husband Garland of Bentley, Lawanna Broussard of Youngsville, and Enola Trahan and husband Ricky of Egan; one son, DeWayne Barton and wife Debbie of Pollock; three brothers Dallas, Irwin and Adrian Roberts; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fruge is preceded in death by her parents, William and Cora Rush Roberts; four brothers, Varnell, Maxwell “M.L.,” Wilburn, and Jimmy; one grandson, Shane Maxwell; and one son-in-law, Wayne Broussard.
The family would like to thank Dr. M.N. Katira, Dr. Joshua Mammen, and the nursing staff of Acadia General Hospital I.C.U. for the care and service during Mr. Fruge’s illness.
