Brandy Matte Letchworth
Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 3:00 pm for Brandy Matte Letchworth, 36, who died Sunday, August 17, 2014.
Interment will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church Cemetery, Mire, LA.
Surviving are her husband, Byron "Scooter" Letchworth; one son Cooper Letchworth; her parents, Lee and Judy Credeur Matte; sister, Stormy Matte, and her children, Mason, Landon and Lily Matte; her in laws, Bobby and Barbara Letchworth; brother-in-law, Brett Letchworth and wife Tiffany, and their children, Demi and Carlie Letchworth; brother-in-law, Barry Letchworth and wife Shauna, and their children Lain and Jack Letchworth.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leroy and Enola Howe Matte; and maternal grandparents, Donnicer "Man" and Lillian Credeur.
Brandy was a beautiful mother, wife, daughter and friend. She loved life, spending time with her friends, and especially enjoyed attending her son's sporting events; serving as his biggest supporter. Brandy was an inspiration to all, touching the lives of everyone she met; spreading her infectious smile to bring all together. She will truly be missed by everyone. She was a Rayne High Graduate of the Class of 1996. Brandy worked for M-I Swaco, supporting the Scott, La location.
She served as an Officer of Mire Elementary PTC, was a member of the Pink Diva's, and Officer of the Cub Scout Pack 343, an Advocate for Relay for Life and Lector of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church of Mire.
Friends will be received Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm & Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 8:00 am until 2:30 pm at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. A Rosary will be Recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to her family, friends, coworkers and neighbors for all of your support, prayers and love given. Deepest appreciation to MD Anderson, Dr. Nicolas Levine and Staff. A huge thanks to the "God Sent" nurses with Heart of Hospice; Heather and Jenny.
Pallbearers will be Todd Sloane, Brett Letchworth, Barry Letchworth, Scott Latiolais, Pat Credeur and Blanie Broussard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mason Matte, Lain Letchworth, Landon Matte and Jack Letchworth.
