Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial for Wilma Marie Credeur Laughlin, 81, who died Saturday, October 4, 2014, at her residence in Rayne. 

Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum, Rayne.

Surviving are one daughter, Susan Laughlin Guidry and husband, Donald Guidry, of Rayne; one son, Thomas “Tom” Laughlin and wife, Darline Blanchard Laughlin, of Grapevine, TX;  and one granddaughter, Anne Marie Swanson and husband, Rick Swanson, of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Laughlin, Sr.; one son, William “Billy” Laughlin, Jr.; one grandson, David Charles Laughlin; parents, Clopha Credeur and Telesia Hebert Credeur; three sisters, Aloncel Credeur Trahan, Elise Credeur Venable and Winnie Credeur Prejean; and one brother, John Credeur.

A rosary was recited Monday, October 6, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Monday, October 6, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 7, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Karen Roden and her staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. Also would like to thank Heart of Hospice, Heather Carrier and Freida Eaglin, Louise Caregiver Service, Nancy Bourque and Susie Almaguer for their compassionate care to Mrs. Wilma Laughlin. A special thanks to her niece, Cheryl Guidry.
