Frank Buckner Robinson
Frank Buckner Robinson, 80, of Humble, Texas, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at 8 p.m. Frank was born to Frank and Euphemie Robinson on April 8, 1934, in Crowley.
In 1958, Frank and his young family moved from Crowley to Houston. Frank was employed as a machinist at FMC for many years and eventually went on to work at the University of Houston where he later retired.
Frank was an avid sports enthusiast. When his sons were younger, he would spend countless hours coaching their baseball teams and participating on the league board of directors. Frank was on the Harris County MUD 26 Board from 1999-2014. He took real pride in his neighborhood and in his role on the MUD Board. He loved trail rides, rodeos, camping, road trips, his family and friends. And, of course, everyone knows he loved his Cajun food.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kent and wife Vicki of Klein, Texas, Karla and husband Don Clark of Porter, Texas, and Scott and wife Marcia of Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren, Janeice Robinson and Patrick Steiner, Cody and wife Stephanie Robinson, Nicole and husband Randy Jones, Kasi and husband Kacey Haberland, Brent and wife Katrina Newell and Carter Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Kylie and Brent Newell, Mason Haberland, Avery Robinson, Tyler Jones and Aubrey Haberland, due January 2015. Frank is also survived by sister, Alice and husband Cecil Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Yvonne Young Robinson; his parents, Frank and Euphemie Robinson; brothers, Curley and Harry Kibodeaux; sister, Florene Quibodeaux and Flossie Monceaux; and grandchild, Tyler Anthony Robinson.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 19, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble. Memorial services and celebration of Frank’s life will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 20, in the Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Byrd officiating. Internment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
