Reena Fleming Wilkerson
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the First United Methodist Church for Reena Fleming Wilkerson, 95, who died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Encore Nursing Center in Crowley.
Rev. Charles Crews and Rev. Don Popp will officiate the services. Visitation was observed Monday, Oct. 20, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Reena was born Sept. 16, 1919, in Lindale, Texas. She was a longtime faithful member of the First Methodist Church. She and her husband owned and operated Wilkerson Tile Company.
She is survived by her son, Edward Wilkerson and wife Jodie of Eunice; her daughter, Barbara Redding of Metairie; nine grandchildren, Edward Wilkerson Jr, Alicia Rhett Ardoin, Christian Elton Lott Wilkerson, Patrick Smiley II, J.P. Leger, Jauque Leger, Daniel Noel Leger, Randal Mouton and Michael Mouton; and five great-grandchildren, Chloe Ann Wilkerson, Ava Ardoin, Cade Wilkerson, Ella Ardoin and Nicholas Leger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alice Fleming; her husband, Cleo Emmit Wilkerson; her infant daughter, Cherie Faye Wilkerson; two brothers Elmer Fleming and Brian Fleming; and a sister, Ima Huff.
