Rayne merchants participating in holiday promotion

The Rayne Chamber of Commerce is conducting a Christmas sales promotion for local merchants.
The event, which began Nov. 28 and will continue through Dec. 13, is titled “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” for Rayne businesses, according to Fran Bihm, executive director of the Rayne Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.
The promotion will continue through the coming weeks leading up to Christmas
Participating in the holiday promotion are:
• Antiques On the Avenue: Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Christmas Open House. Refreshments served, store-wide Christmas sale, drawings throughout the day.• Maison Daboval: Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - A Christmas Open House.
• Cajun Flea Market: Open until 7 p.m. Dec. 6 and until 6 p.m. everyday until Christmas.
•Sadie’s Flower Shop: Saturday, Dec. 13, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. - 45th Anniversary Open House.
• Candyland Cottage & Ice Cream Shoppe: Dec. 13 and 20 - Caroling Hayrides for families, couples, individuals or groups beginning at 6:30 p.m. daily.
• Fireflies Home & Garden and “Bananni Bands” are teaming  up for a Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m..
• Frog City Travel Plaza celebrates Black Friday every Friday until Christmas.
•Rayne Financial Institutions:  Bank of Commerce & Trust Co., Rayne Building & Loan Association and Rayne State Bank & Trust Co.
• Rayne Chamber of Commerce has Christmas gifts for all ages Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
The promotion includes a best-decorated Christmas tree and store interior/exterior and a “Best Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” promotion.
First, second and third place awards will be presented in each of the two categories
