Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:30 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, December 20, 2014 for Bailey Elizabeth Leon, 12, who died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Oshsner Hospital in New Orleans, LA.
Interment will be in the Leger Cemetery, Rayne, LA.
Surviving are mother, Brooke Elizabeth Leon Reed and husband Cody of Rayne, father, Coby Abshire of Lafayette, one sister, Ellie Reed, two brothers, Aiden Reed, Seth Reed all of Rayne, maternal grandmother, Sara Leon of Rayne, paternal grandmother, Glenda Abshire of Lafayette, paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Carla Bower of Orange Beach AL, paternal grandparents, John and Simone Reed of Lafayette, maternal great grandparents, Harvey and Lois Leon of Rayne, Frank and Eva Privat of Rayne, numerous aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Kenneth Abshire, paternal great grandparents, Milton Abshire and Iris Duplechhain Dogie, Paternal great grandparents, Cleophas Simon and Glady Richard Simon, maternal great grandparents, Charles and Gladys Robicheaux, Sr..
Bailey accomplished so much in her short time on this Earth. She was truly an old soul that taught so many lessons about life and love. She was the best daughter, sister and friend anyone could ask for. Her laughter was infectious and her love for life left you longing to know this little girl more. She will be missed by so many. She truly taught us to live like Nothing Is Impossible!
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 7:00 pm by her 6th grade Rayne Catholic Elementary School classmates at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, LA on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
