NAUW, Crowley Branch, hosts Annual Yuletide Love Feast

The National Association of University Women, Crowley Branch, hosted its annual Yuletide Love Feast on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Israelite Baptist Church in Crowley, with entertainment provided by the Israelite Baptist Church Male Chorus. 

After a greeting by Cynthia Winbush and the introduction of the 2014 program committee members, Myrtle Cain gave the invocation followed by a welcome from Evelyn Pleasure and a pronouncement on the occasion by Keiasha Benoit, Jocelyn Potier.

Dr. Ezora Proctor recognized the guests and Betty Morris Gums made presentations. 

Cain led the NAUW, Crowley Branch, members in the swapping of “secret sister” gifts, and Meridian Vallery and Martha Williams presented gifts to the guests on behalf of the NAUW, Crowley Branch.

Cheryl Lewis reflected on the 2014 activities of the group, as well as the upcoming 2015 activities, including the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Youth Musical in January.

The event was wrapped up with closing remarks by Cynthia Winbush.
