First Baby wait begins

At midnight today, Acadia Parish will begin the wait for the First Baby of 2015.

Sponsored by The Crowley Post-Signal and participating area businesses, the First Baby of the Year contest offers a treasure chest of gifts for the newborn and his/her parents.

To be eligible, the baby must be born in Acadia Parish and the parents must be married residents of the parish.

The exact time of birth must be specified in writing by the attending physician and submitted to The Post-Signal.

The name of the 2015 First Baby and parents will be published in the newspaper.
