Rayne High Wolves, Ladies begin district play

The Lady Wolves improved their district record to 2-0 last week with wins over Beau Chene and Opelousas High.
The Ladies defeated Opelousas 40-24 with the start of district play for Rayne High.
Charlesha Dugas was high scorer for the Lady Wolves with 20 points. Tarya Kanonu and Tristan Mouton tapped in eight points each.
In Rayne’s 27-12 win over Beau Chene, Tasia Duhon led the Ladies with 10 points, two steals and two rebounds.
Charlesha Dugas dumped in a half dozen and Tarya Kanonu tapped in a couple buckets.
Whitley Larry recorded five rebounds and six blocks, while Tanner Wilson had three steals and four rebounds.
The Lady Wolves were scheduled to meet Washington-Marion this week before hosting LaGrange High Friday night at the RHS north gym when they will continue district play.

The Rayne High Wolves fell to Abbeville 38-29 on Friday prior to their start of district play this week.
In their loss, Rayne players were kept to single digits, led by Drekylon Gibson with nine, eight by Charles Jones, and four points by both Drakkar Broussard and Trevon Fontenot.
Broussard led rebounds with 12, while Fontenot recorded two steals.
The Wolves were scheduled to meet Washington-Marion this week before hosting LaGrange High Friday night at the RHS north gym when they will begin district play.
