Beatrice T. Ryder

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 16, at a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church honoring the life of Beatrice T. Ryder, 68, who died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Acadia General Hospital. 

She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with  Reverend Clint Trahan officiating the services. 

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gerald Ryder of Morse; one son, Bryan Ryder and wife Veronica; one son-in-law, Stephen Hebert of Gueydan; two daughters, Rhonda and husband Larry Thibodeaux of Morse and Iris and husband Burt Suire of Bell City; four sisters, Evelyn Richard of Gueydan, Rose Cormier of Gueydan, Ruby Saltzman of Kaplan and Celestine LaCombe of Gueydan; three brothers, Irving Touchet of Gueydan, Lloyd Touchet of Gueydan and Lasley Touchet of Abbeville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Linus Touchet and Henry Touchet; and one daughter, Colleen Hebert.

She loved her family, her children and her grandchildren.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 4 p.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 6 p.m.
