John Burton Guilbeaux, Sr.

 

Funeral services for John Burton Guilbeaux, Sr., 61, of Rayne will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne.  Father Kendal Faulk will officiate.  

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M.  Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

 

Mr. Guilbeaux passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 7:05 A.M. near his Rayne residence.

 

Mr. Guilbeaux was a member of the Catholic faith.  He was a hard-working man who worked for the City of Rayne.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 

Survivors include his companion, Lillian Guidry of Rayne; father, Burton Joseph Guilbeaux of Rayne; sons, John Guilbeaux, Jr. of Lyons Point, and Jason Guilbeaux of Thibodaux; daughters, Joanie Credeur of Lyons Point, and Joana Schexnaider of Thibodaux; brothers, Kermit Guilbeaux of Rayne, and Leroy Anthony Guilbeaux of Crowley; sisters, Marie Szekely of Rayne, Patricia Cormier of Crowley, Wanda Szekely of Rayne, and Marlene Lyons of Port Barre; and 13 grandchildren.

 

Preceding Mr. Guilbeaux in death were his mother, Cecile Miller Guilbeaux; sister, Thelma Jean Guilbeaux; daughte , Jolynn Nicole Guilbeaux; and uncle, Alfred Guilbeaux.
