Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6, at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Rufus Hanks Jr., 70, who died at his residence in Bridge City, Texas.
Fr. Clint Trahan, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, will officiate the service. The rosary will be prayed at 11 a.m., Friday. Visitation may be observed on Friday from 9 a.m. until service time. The burial will follow in the Hanks Cemetery in Morse.
He is survived by his son, Stacy Hanks and wife Rachel of New Iberia; four daughters, Angela Champagne of Loreauville, Tracy Hebert and husband Joey of Loreauville, Milissa Crane of Broussard and Monica Boutte and husband Phil of New Iberia; a brother, Larry Hanks of Vidor, Texas; two sisters, Laura Smith of Morse and Wilda Benoit of Orange, Texas; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was precede in death by his parents, Rufus and Daisy Trahan Hanks; and a brother, Elton Reed Hanks.
