Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 1:30 pm at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne, LA for Michael "Pickle" Daboval Besse, Sr., 75, who died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his residence in Rayne, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum, Rayne, LA,.

Surviving are wife, Ramona "Mona" Terro Besse of Rayne, two sons, Michael D. Besse, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Youngsville, Shane Charles Besse of Charlotte, NC , seven grandchildren, three brothers, Pierre Besse and wife Vickie of Rayne, Elliott Besse of Youngsville, Rene' Besse and wife Daisy of Pennsylvania, one sister, Heloise Besse Sullivan and husband Jeffery of Goshen, OH, two sisters-in-laws, Phyllis Besse, and Elsie Besse of Rayne.

He was preceded in death by parents, Dave Albert Besse, Sr. and Yolande Daboval Besse, two brothers, Dave Albert Besse, Jr., and Deynoot "Dan" Besse.

Mr. Besse was retired from the United States Navy with 21 years of services. He was a avid outdoorsman enjoy hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

A rosary will be recited Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA Thursday, March 5, 2015, 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and Friday, March 6, 2015, 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
