Victor Lavert Edwards

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m. in the Martin Luther King Center, 1725 W. Hutchinson Ave., for Victor Lavert Edwards, 57.
Victor Lavert Edwards was born to the late Mary Grace and Victor Decquir on Dec. 3, 1957. He departed this life on Monday, March 9, 2015, at his crowley residence.
Victor grew up in Crowley. He graduated from Crowley High in 1975 and joined the U.S. Army for four years, earning the rank of E4.
He will definitely be missed by his daughter, family and friends.
Victor is survived by his loving daughter, Darnetta Nicole Edwards of Lafayette; his sisters, Cindy L. Garrick of DeRidder, Judy Edwards of Lake Charles and Ivy Mae Ball of Crowley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary G. Edwards and Victor Decquir; his grandparents; and brothers, Rufus Decquir and Jerry Morris.
