Delta Sigma Theta introduces 2015 Debs and Beaux

 

The Crowley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta proudly announces its 2014 Debs and Beaux. They are:

Teara Breaux is a senior at Crowley High School. 

The daughter of Tim Breaux and Shelia Augustus, her hobbies include volleyball, basketball and track. She enjoys praise dancing for church, weddings and special occasions. 

Teara has been a member of Crowley High’s dance team for two years and captain for one year. She is a member of the FCA, Key Club, youth group, Student Council and the honor society.

Taylor Dapremont, a senior at Crowley High School, is the daughter of Nicole Rose and Vincent Dapremont. 

She enjoys playing basketball, shopping, reading, listening to music and baking cookies. 

Taylor is a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she is a member of the youth choir, Sunday School, Jr. Ushers, Youth Action Ministry and the Seventh District Association Sunday School Congress. 

She is a four-year member of the basketball team and served as 2014-15 co-captain, a one-year volleyball manager and a three-year member of the Federation of Christian Athletes. 

Taylor has received the Hardest Working Player Award and been selected for the 2014 all-district defense in basketball.

Arianna Lewis, the daughter of Shirley Hawkins, is a senior at Crowley High School. 

She enjoys playing volleyball and is a member of Women of Wisdom.

Dana’ Plummer is a senior at Crowley High School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dana Plummer. 

Dana’ enjoys reading, hanging out with friends and sleeping. 

She is a member of the Key Club and FCCLA.

Tyla Shelvin, a senior at Crowley High School, is the daughter of Felix Freddie and Kizzy Shelvin Freddie. 

Her hobbies include singing, dancing, running and yoga. 

She has been a cheerleader for the past four years, won third place in the 2012 Cultural and Creative Arts Talent Competition at the Rice Theatre, received the SCA All-American Award, the Cheerleader Award in 2012 and 2014 and received the Superior Award from Southwestern Cheerleaders Association Summer Camp.

Chadlyn Yokum is a senior at Crowley High School and the daughter of Shalonda and Bobby Davis. 

She enjoys texting, exercising and hanging out with her sisters and friends. 

Chadlyn is a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and a varsity member of her school’s volleyball and softball teams.

Morgan Brown is the son of Joel and Darlene Morgan Brown and a student at Patrick F. Taylor Science and Technology Academy. He enjoys woodworks, de-constructing devices and history. He is a member of his school’s varsity basketball team, a cross-country track runner and a member of Key Club. Morgan is also a member of Regular Baptist Church and People to People Leadership in Action Alumni.

Tyrin Daniels, a senior at Crowley High School, is the son of Sheryl Alexander and Roderick Daniels. 

He enjoys playing basketball, watching movies, playing video games and traveling with family. 

He is a one-year member of the Key Club, four-year member of the basketball team, one-year member of the football team and a one-year Stepper for Christ. 

Tyrin has been the recipient of the Orlando Thomas Award and the academic award for maintaining a 3.0 or above grade point average while playing sports.

Malik Jenkins is a senior at Crowley High School. He is the son of Dewitt and Toshiba Jenkins. 

Malik enjoys playing basketball, texting, listening to music and driving, and he has played on the Jerusalem Baptist Church basketball team.

Adagio Kanonu is a senior at Rayne High School and the son of Romy Coleman. 

He enjoys playing basketball and video games, talking, texting, attending church and hanging out with family and friends. 

He is a member of Student Council, Trail Blazers, RHS HOSA Club, Beta Club, 4-H, Science Club and the basketball team. Adagio received the MVP award in basketball.

Edwin Lewis, a senior at Crowley High School, is the son of Clarence and Angela Lewis. 

He enjoys riding horses, playing the drums, listening to music and hanging out with friends. 

Edwin is a member of Holy Temple Church of Deliverance and the Crowley High School baseball team. 

He has received the Quincy Jones Award in band and has participated in Honor Band.

The 2015 Debs and Beaux will be presented at a ball set to be held on Saturday, April 11.
