UPDATE: Evacuation order lifted in Morse-area

After a seven-hour evacuation time, Morse- and Mermentau Cove-area residents are being allowed to return home at this time.
An evacuation was ordered due to a gas leak at about 8:15 a.m. Friday, April 17. The gas leak to several hours to take on.
Meanwhile, the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office had issued an evacuation of a one mile radius from the Everglade and LaFosse Roads area.
