Rayne High class of 1951 attends class reunion

The 1951 graduating class of Rayne High School gathered at Chef Roy’s Frog City Café on Saturday, June 20, 2015, for their annual class reunion.
Reunion committee members included Thelma Martin, Olita Trahan Matthews and Ralph Stutes.
Classmates in attendance were Mercedes Broussard Hollier, Thelma Martin, Aubrey Mire, Verna Navarre Kennedy, Hilton Quebodeaux, Josette Privat Delahoussaye, Gertie Roberts Richard, Barbara Rousell Gossen, Evelyn Sonnier Petitjean, Ralph Stutes, Elwood Trahan, Olita Trahan Matthews and Carolyn Rosenbaum Titus.
Classmates and guests attended the reunion from Rayne, Scott, Branch, Lafayette, Crowley, Ville Platte, Westlake, Madisonville, and Pasadena, Texas.
Deceased classmates remembered were Carlton Arceneaux, Caliste Beard Jr., Jessie Mae Cahanin Cormier, Robert Comeaux, Betty Couvillion Dervdoy, Patsy Faulk Richard, Edward Junot, Nora Ann Laurent LeBlanc, Mary Jane Laughlin Milton, Edna Mire Estillete, Lorella Tayler Richard, Audrey Trahan Richard, Herbert Sills, Bonnie Venable Lyons, Laura Venable Guidry and Rodney Myers.
