Local teachers attend district meeting

The members of Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International honorary teachers’ organization recently traveled to Franklin to attend the Southwest District Meeting on Saturday, Sept. 26, where chapter member Casey Vercher was awarded the district Rose in Bloom title for her outstanding work for Delta Kappa Gamma in 2014-2015. The theme of the meeting was “Celebrating Our Best in the Southwest,” which coordinated with the Epsilon State year’s theme, “Celebrating Our Past – Advancing Our Future.” On hand for the meeting were, from left, Suzanne Gray, Page Gray, Casey Vercher, Sandra Pruitt (Epsilon State second vice president), Elaine Simon, Joanna Pruitt. Epsilon State President Judy Rongey, far right, greeted them.
