Couple’s shower honors local engaged couple

RAYNE - A couple’s shower was held Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, in honor of Kayla Fontenot and Trevor Deaville, both of Rayne.
Kayla is the daughter of Jimmy and Norellie Fontenot of Rayne.
Trevor is the son of Donna Deaville of Hathaway and the late Norman Deaville.Hosting the afternoon social were Kyle and Lauren Fontenot, TJ and Lauren Fontenot, Keri Hebert, Barry Elkins, Karris Toups, Cody Duhon, Hannah and Robert-Thomas Johnson, Erick Puissegur, Kristina Lavergne, Jeremy Puissegur, and Jamie Guilbeau.
Guests were served hamburgers, chicken strips, fruit and veggie trays, chips and dips, cookie cake, and Rice Crispy treats.
The theme of the courtesy was “House Divided” with ULL and LSU tailgate decor.
For the special event, Kayla wore blue jean capris with a red tank top with black fringe.
The bride-elect’s mother wore a UL shirt with black shorts, while the prospective groom’s mother selected a multi-color top and blue jeans.
Approximately 40 guests were in attendance from Rayne, Lafayette, Jennings, Hathaway, and Texarkana.
Kayla and Trevor will be married on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, during a 6:15 p.m. wedding ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a reception at The Crossing at Mervine Kahn.
