Pink Ladies hear of Cancer Center of Acadiana

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, the Pink Ladies of Acadia General Hospital met at the Rice Palace restaurant in Crowley for their annual fall luncheon and meeting.
A necrology service was conducted by Bonnie McClain and Cephronia Prather, with the lighting of candles for two deceased members of the organization, Cecilia Zaunbrecher and Jean Hanks.
President Gloria Leblanc called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone.
Chaplain Leisa Thibodeaux led the volunteer pledge and prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The speaker for the luncheon was Annette Dobson, clinical supervisor of the Cancer Center of Acadiana at Acadia General Hospital. Her message was very informative, personal and passionate. She informed the group that the goal of the Cancer Center is to provide excellent services to the local community.
Twenty-eight members enjoyed a delicious meal and door prizes were given.
