John Dooley “J.D.” Hebert

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for John Dooley “J.D.” Hebert, 21, who died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015.
“J.D.” was a 2012 graduate of Iota High School and was the 2012 State High School Steer Wrestling Champion. He loved to rodeo, hunt, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services.
The family requests visiting hours Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa Trahan Hebert and Joey Hebert, both of Egan; two brothers, Jake Hebert and wife Courtney of Sunset, and Judd Hebert of Egan; his maternal grandparents, Rudy and Betty Trahan of Carlyss; his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Linda Gail Hebert of Eunice; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jake Hebert, Judd Hebert, Seth Humble, Brandon Leger, Ty Hoffpauir and Scott Sensat.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to: John Dooley “J.D.” Hebert Memorial LHSRA Scholarship Fund, 1347 Regan Road, Egan, LA 70531.
