James Carlos “Buddy” Street Jr.
James Carlos “Buddy” Street Jr. passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at the age of 68.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard on Friday, Nov. 13, at 3:30 p.m. Fr. Tom Voorhies will officiate.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Rosalind Manuel Street of Eunice; three sons, James C. Street III and wife Nicole of Duson, John Street of Jennings and Jeremy Street and Brynne of Kansas City, Missouri; niece, Jaclyn Savoy Howie and husband Bob of Friendswood, Texas; stepdaughter, Adrienne LeJeune and husband Drake of Eunice; two stepsons, Brian Rozas and wife Sarah of Church Point and Andrew Rozas of Eunice.
He is survived by many friends and extended family that loved him.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, James C. “Red” Street Sr. and Bernice Courville Street and one brother, Joseph Savoy.
Buddy was a 1965 graduate of Eunice High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He held the rank of sergeant with the military police. Buddy was an avid tennis player. He was on the Men’s Eunice Tennis League. Buddy worked for many years at the Eunice News.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. A Rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. by Fr. Tom Voorhies.
