Virginia ‘Jenny’ Semenuk

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Northside Assembly of God Acadiana Cathedral for Virginia ‘Jenny’ (Desselle) Semenuk, 60, who died at 2:57 a.m. Thursday, November 26, 2015 in Crowley. Rev. Ryan Post will celebrate the services and the visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. 
Jenny was born October 25, 1955 in Crowley. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt and MawMaw. Jenny enjoyed hosting large family gatherings at her home and spending time with her grandchildren. 
She is survived by her four children: Kisha Semenuk of Washington, D.C., Zade Semenuk, Wyatt Semenuk and Rebekah Semenuk of Crowley; seven grandchildren: Tino and Nico Pezzanite, Miya, Breanna, and Isaiah Semenuk, Malachi Semenuk, and Zayda Semenuk. Her mother ‘Granny’ Lucille (Petry) Desselle, three sisters Kayla Helton, Sherry Williams, and Celeste Richard and two brothers Keith Desselle and Kent Desselle, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father ‘Papa’ Berkley Desselle, mother-in-law Clarice Semenuk, and her husband Boris ‘Buff’ Semenuk. Jenny will be laid to rest with Buff in the Abshire Cemetary at a later date by her children.
