Julius J. Gaspard
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Julius J. Gaspard, 82, who died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, in Kaplan.
Mr. Gaspard was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Fr. Clint Trahan, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Abshire Cemetery.
Julius is survived by five daughters, Paulette G. Adam and her husband Craig of Kaplan, Renee’ Gaspard of Knoxville, Tennessee, Karen G. Edmonston and her husband Lane of Gonzales, Jody Cormier and her husband Scotty of Scott and Stephanie G. Corner of Carencro; three sons, Chris Gaspard of Knoxville, Karl Gaspard of St. Martinville and Shane Gaspard and his wife Myra of Carencro; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and special friend and caretaker, Pearly Guidry of Lyons Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Enedia Leger Gaspard, and one sister, Glenda G. Duhon.
Pallbearers will be Steven Wimberly, Kyle Suire, Tyler Gaspard, Marty Gaspard, Kenny Gaspard and Eric Lambousy. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Leger, Lane Gaspard and Lance LeBlanc.
