Ouida S. Spell

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Ouida S. Spell, 84, who passed away at her home on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2015, at 9:59 p.m. in Crowley.
Rev. Jimmy Broussard will officiate for the services. Burial will be in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. until 10 p.m and resume on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 8 a.m. until time of services, all in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley.
Survivors include one son, Ronald and wife Deanna Spell of Lyons Point; one daughter, Belinda S. Bertrand of Crowley; one daughter-in-law, Deborah Spell of Crowley; eight grandchildren, Alisha and husband Zeb Fontenot, Michael Brent Hamilton, Ronnie Spell, Trevor Q. Bertrand and fiancé Jessica Thibodeaux, Michael Barry and wife Marcy Spell, Kristen and husband Brandon Fontenot, Brandy and husband Aaron Rodriguez and Kelly S. Davis; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Gorman of Longview, Texas, and Katherine Reddin of Montgomery, Texas.
Ms. Ouida was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Virden Spell; one son, Roger “Rocky” Spell; her parents, Tracy and Edolie Spell; and one brother, Huey Spell.
Pallbearers for the services will be Zeb Fontenot, Ronnie Spell, Brent Hamilton, Brandon Fontenot, Kevin Spell, Steven Spell, Michael B. Spell and Jerrl Thompson. The Honorary Pallbearer for the service was Trevor Bertrand.
