Menard descendants attend famly reunion in Rayne

Family members of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lennis Menard gathered on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, for a family reunion.
The mid-day gathering was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Menard in Rayne.
The couple’s children include Alex Menard of Rayne, Larry Menard of Rayne, and the late Percy Menard.
The family also includes six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Oldest family member in attendance was Alex Menard, 78 years young.
The youngest family member in attendance was Leigh Katherine Granger, two-year-old daughter of Ben and Lindsey Menard Granger of Rayne.
Traveling the farthest to attend the reunion was Bennett Menard of Dallas.
The mid-day menu included fried turkey, ham, fried chicken, rice dressing, candied yams, potato salad, corn, green beans with potatoes, sausage in gravy, and a variety of desserts.
Approxiately 30 family members were in attendance from Rayne, Eunice, Lafayette, New Orleans, Loreauville, Napoleonville, Destrahan, Luling, Baton Rouge and Dallas and Houston, Texas.
