Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Believers Baptist Fellowship Church in Estherwood for Janet L. Cormier, 65, who passed away at her home on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at 11:07 p.m.

Brother Don Popp, pastor of Believers Baptist Fellowship Church in Estherwood, will be officiating for the services.

Burial will be in Estherwood Cemetery in Estherwood.

The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 10 a.m. until time of services, all at the Believers Baptist Fellowship Church in Estherwood.

Survivors include her husband, David Cormier of Estherwood; one brother, J.D. “Danny” Simon Jr.  of Sulphur; two step daughters, Katina Marie Cormier of Ossun and Amanda Ruth Mire of Mire; two step sons, Joshua David Cormier of Eunice and Jeremiah David Cormier of Scott; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Lynn Trahan Fontenot; and her parents, J.D. and Genevieve Simon.
