Peggy Managan

Peggy Managan, of Crowley passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in New Roads on Sunday, Jan. 3. She will be deeply missed.

Peggy was born on Feb. 21, 1932, in Elton to David Walker Arceneaux and Mamie Jeffers Arceneaux. She married Thomas C. Managan in 1951 and the couple had five children.

Peggy is survived by her husband; her son, Thomas Daniel Managan; three daughters, Melinda Simon, Marcia Delance, and Jane Kathryn Managan; five grandchildren, Tara Managan, Laura Schilling, Sydney Simon, Shelby Simon and Keilan Managan.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Caroll Jane McCall; her brothers, Dwight “Cookie” Arceneaux and David Walker “Sonnyboy” Arceneaux; and her daughter, Deborah Dale Managan.

Following her wishes to be cremated, a memorial service will take place at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley on Sunday, Jan. 10. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and the services will be at 3 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Pointe Coupee Hospice Fund or the charity of your choice.
