Party honors Irvin Williams’ 80th birthday

Irvin “Dusty” Williams, a native of Crowley who resides in Oakland, California, celebrated his 80th birthday on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the C.F. Ladd Masonic Lodge #48 in Crowley.
Williams was born on Jan. 9, 1936, in Breaux Bridge. He was married to the late Delane Williams, and their union was blessed with three children, Michael Williams, Monica Williams and Charlene Williams, all of Oakland.
The venue was beautifully decorated in royal blue and white, and approximately 150 people gathered to enjoy a meal of chicken and sausage gumbo, roast beef, ham, rice dressing, potato salad, green beans and dessert.
Williams’ birthday cake, which was white with pineapple filling, was decorated with a golf cart theme to reflect his love of golf.
Williams is a member of the Bird Kage Golf Club in Oakland and, in addition to golfing, enjoys traveling and spending quality time visiting family, friends and associates.
Williams is also the president of the Northern California Civic and Social Club of Oakland.
Out-of-town guests attending the event traveled from California, Texas and various points throughout Louisiana.
