Beverly Ann Morris
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church for Beverly Ann Morris, 75, who died Jan. 9, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Services will be conducted by Father Taj Glodd.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Therresa E. Morris of Crowley; five sons, Wilbert “Derek” Wilridge of Houston, Texas, Willard “Bill” Morris (Salethia C.) of Missouri City, Texas, Reginald “Abdul Wali U’din” Morris of Lafayette, Rhettford Morris of Lake Charles and Kerwin Morris of Atlanta, Georgia; 16 grandchildren, Bridget D. Wilkins, Brian Hill, Angela J. Houston, Kryston J. Mayfield, Charmecia R. Morris, Donavon B. Morris, Kernega S. Griffin, Jasmine N. Morris, Akilah U’din Morris, Kervon Griffin, Ra’ees U’din Abdul Rakman U’din, Jada Savoy, Rasheed U’din, Pilar J. Morris and Ziere’ Lavergne; nine great-grandchildren, Victoria Wilkins, Briayah D. Hill, Aniyah Boutte, JaRmel Guidry, Malaysia Boutte, Ja’myrion Griffin, Makenzee Boutte, Kylon Harrison and Renity Houston; one brother, John E. Morris; two aunts, Eva George Clement and Beulah Simon George; two godchildren, Antoinette C. Pete and Tangie H. Jackson; and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jhuanterrol D. Morris; her parents, John and Ester Mae George Morris; two brothers, Wilbert “Boy” and Norbert “Blackie” Morris; her maternal grandparents, Columbus and Sevillia Melancon George; her paternal grandparents, Edgar Peter Morris and Sarah Gradenigo Morris Brouchet; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, at St. Theresa Catholic Church from 8:15 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
