Adelene L. Kebodeaux

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Adelene L. Kebodeaux, 81, who left this life at 2:43 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in Crowley surrounded by her family.
Rev. Paul Estes and Rev. Jason Corder will celebrate the funeral services. Burial will follow in the Kye Hebert Cemetery. Visitation was observed from 11 a.m. Monday until 10 p.m., and resumes Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Adelene was born June 17, 1934, to the late John and Emma Schexnider Lormand in Crowley. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She loved to cook and entertain her family and friends, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia K. Becnel and husband Dan of Austin, Texas, Linda K. Ancelet and husband Kenneth of Rayne and Sally K. Walsh and husband Blaine of Iota; two sons, Joseph Kebodeaux Jr. and wife Virginia of Iota and Larry W. Kebodeaux and wife Connie of Egan; three brothers, Dalton Lormand of Manor, Texas, Daniel Lormand of Crowley and Jimmy Lormand of Terrell, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Narville Kebodeaux Sr.; her son, Harry Wayne Kebodeaux; and two brothers, Wilfred and John Lormand.
The family would like to thank the staff of Acadia General Hospital and Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving care and support.
