Devillier to perform in ‘An Evening of Dance’

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette School of Music and Performing Arts Dance Program will present “An Evening of Dance” April 14-17 at Burke-Hawthorne Theatre on the UL Lafayette campus.
“An Evening of Dance” is the eagerly awaited annual dance showcase that premieres the original choreography of students in the UL Lafayette Dance Program. These adjudicated dances are both choreographed and performed by performing arts majors with a concentration in dance and dancers from the Acadiana community.
Crowley native Julian Devillier, who reigned as the 2014 Miss Crowley and is a UL Lafayette performing arts major, will perform in the showcase.
“An Evening of Dance” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on April 14 through 16 and at 2 p.m. on April 17.
Tickets will be available at Burke-Hawthorne Theatre one hour prior to each performance or online at pfar.louisiana.edu.
General admission to the performance is $10. Tickets for senior citizens, UL Lafayette alumni and children under 18 years of age are $5. UL Lafayette students, faculty and staff are admitted free of charge with a their valid UL Lafayette ID.
The 2016 production of “An Evening of Dance” promises to be an evening of concert dance that is thoughtfully diverse in its subject matter and richly innovative in its approach.
