Darryl “Beasy” Doucet

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point for Darryl “Beasy” Doucet, 52, who died July 7, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends.
Fr. Clint Trahan, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Friday from noon to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be led by Deacon Tom Sommers at 7 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Abshire Cemetery.
Beasy was best known for his carpentry skills as can be seen all over town. In his off-time he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kollie Domingue Doucet of Crowley; two daughters, Lauren Primeaux and her spouse Mathew of Cow Island and Hannah Hoffpauir and her spouse Devin of Estherwood; one granddaughter, Shailey Grace Trahan; his parents, Elgin and Hollis Doucet Sr. of Kaplan; one brother, Hollis Doucet II and his spouse Cindy; two sisters, Minnette Schexnayder and spouse R.J. and Sandy Doucet Lambert; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Primeaux, Devin Hoffpauir, Matthew Domingue, Brittlyn Doucet, Hollis Doucet, Hunter Lambert and Ashley Schexnayder.
