Breaux Bridge — St. Bernard Catholic Church was the setting for the marriage of Kristy Rae Guidry to Shannon David Bourque on Saturday, March 29, 2008. ,

The Rev. Allen Breaux officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Lynn and JoEllen Guidry and the groom’s parents are Wayne and Sheryl Bourque of Leonville.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an elegant off the shoulder gown of white silk taffeta featuring a ruched portrait v-neck and ruched band at the waist accented with a watteau train. The ensemble was completed with a double band of pearls and diamonds and a two layer fly-away veil of diamond white illusion.

Tracy Guidry sister of the bride, served as maid of honor and Ashley Roberts served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Brandy Bourque, sister of the groom; Collette Champagne and Jeanne Robert. Clint Thibodeaux, cousin of the groom was the best man. Groomsmen were Travis Thibodeaux, cousin of the groom; Jared Bergeron, Quintin Quebodeaux and Ben Stelly.

Ushers were Phillip Bourque, godfather of the groom; Larry Guidry, uncle of the bride and Chris Robin.

A reception followed at Marielle’s in Breaux Bridge

The couple will reside in Breaux Bridge.
