Adlar Joseph Hebert
Kaplan—Graveside funeral services for Mr. Adlar Joseph Hebert will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in Abshire Cemetery.
Mr. Hebert passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 5:30 P.M. in a Lafayette hospital.
A native of Vermilion Parish, Mr. Hebert was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was former owner and operator of Hebert’s Paint and Body Shop in Rayne.
Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Hebert of Lafayette, and Elizabeth Guidry of Austin, TX; sons, P.J. Hebert and wife, Dean of Lafayette, and Lindberg Hebert of Lafayette; sister, Gladys Begnaud of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Mr. Hebert in death were his wife, Eunice Kibodeaux Hebert; parents, Philibert and Elena Abshire Hebert; son, Carlton Hebert; and several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Hebert’s family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. S.R. Kothapalli, as well as the staffs of Lafayette General Medical Center and Amelia Manor for the outstanding and compassionate care given to Mr. Hebert.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mr. Hebert’s memory to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or to a veterans service organization of giver’s choice.
