Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, LA for Angella G. Richard, 94, who passed away at her home surrounded by family at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
Fr. Kendal Faulk, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Church in Rayne.
The Family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Monday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of the services.
Survivors include one daughter, Wilma R. Normand of Rayne; eleven grandchildren, Sandra Hartman and Doug of Sulphur, Tammy Normand and Willard of Rayne, Terry Richard and Pam of DeQuincy, Danny Richard and Penny of Port Arthur, TX., Shirley Normand of Duson, Mary N. Trahan and Bryan of Rayne, Vince Richard and Brandy of Carlyss, Monica Nichols and Fred of Sulphur, Dennis Normand and Maggie of Church Point, Stacy Fike and Brad of DeQuincy and Renee’ Nero and Donnie of Rayne; two sisters, Rita Troy of Youngsville and Dorothy David of Carencro; one brother, Thomas Gerard of Lafayette; thirty two great-grandchildren, twenty four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Angella was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Richard, her parents, Jules and Marie R. Girard, Sr.; one son, Wilbert Richard; one son-in-law, Remy Normand; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Richard; four great- great-grandchildren, Holden Vincent, Mariah Moncise, Tamara C. Richard and Angel Trahan; five brothers, Gilbert Girard, Ulysse Girard, Sr., Jules Girard, Jr., Willis Girard and Jay Girard; two sisters, Bertha Guidroz and Lorita Girard.
