A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Jan. 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Anna Mae Gotte LaCombe, 80, who died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at 2:37 p.m. at Acadia General Hospital.
Mrs. Anna Mae enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends especially in the fall to see the beauty in the changing of the leaves. She retired from Southwest Louisiana Developmental Center in Iota after 25 years of service.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. LaCombe is survived by two sons, Kenneth LaCombe and his wife Susan of Egan and Ralph LaCombe and his wife Connie of Iota; one sister, Sarah G. Tucker; four brothers, William Gotte, Web Gotte Jr. Bobby Lee Gotte and Mitchell Gotte; six grandchildren, Stephanie L. Roy, Grayson LaCombe, Dustin LaCombe, Joshua LaCombe, Gretchen L. Vanicor and Kyle LaCombe; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert LaCombe Jr; her parents, Web Gotte Sr. and Mabel LeJeune Gotte; one sister, Lydia G. Minor; and one brother, Lester Gotte.
