Aurore Fay Broussard Kelly

A resident of Lafayette at the time of her death, Aurore Fay 

Broussard Kelly passed away at Magnolia Estates Nursing home on Jan. 1, 2014. 

Fay, as her friends and family knew her, was born Jan. 29, 1944, in Lafayette.

She graduated from Mount Carmel and USL with a degree in accounting. 

In 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit, she was living the New Orleans area. She evacuated to Crowley to live with family. In 2012, she relocated to Magnolia Estates nursing home in Lafayette where she lived out the remainder of her life.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Moise and Elphie Broussard. She is survived by one daughter, Katrina Madere; and three grandchildren, Nikolas Doty, Kristina Lemaire and John Madere.

As per her wishes, in lieu of a public funeral, there will be a private gathering for family.

The family would like to thank the staff of Magnolia Estates, Southern Hospice, Sandy Warren and AMG Healthcare in Youngsville for their care and service.
