Beatrice Comeaux
It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Beatrice Comeaux of Evangeline announces her passing from this life on November 14, 2014 at the age of 95. Beatrice was born in Evangeline to the late Joseph LaSage and the late Maggie Ravey LaSage on January 30, 1919. Beatrice was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She loved to cook and work in her yard. Beatrice was a devoted member of her church. She meet with her rosary group every Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Beatrice is survived by her, two sons, Jerry (Darlene) Comeaux, Sr. of Lake Charles; Shelby (Susan) Comeaux of Crowley; two daughters, Sylvia (James) Miller of Crowley, Lou Ann (Jay) Tennyson of Columbia, Mo.; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Maggie LaSage; her beloved husband, Willex Comeaux; three sons, Marlin Comeaux, Terry Comeaux, Larry Comeaux; two brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Evangeline on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Father David Broussard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 9 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass.
Carrying Beatrice to her final resting place in Greenwood Cemetery will be Karl Miller, Joe Miller, Jerry Comeaux, Jr., Christopher Comeaux, Shannon Daigle and Clint Comeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be James Miller, Jr., Terry Miller, and Scott Comeaux.
