Bonnie Maxwell Romero

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church for Bonnie Maxwell Romero, 69, who died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at her residence in Iota.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will celebrate the Mass. The burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation may be observed on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Bonnie was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Breaux Bridge to the late Minter Maxwell and Lorina Mason Maxwell.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosalyn Stutes and husband Byron of Iota; her son, Randy Romero and fiancée Rachel Morgan of Iota; eight grandchildren, Michael Bonin, Haden Romero, Lauren Stutes, Courtney Richard, Byron Stutes Jr., Jacob Stutes, John Nelson III and Anthony Nelson; and three great-grandchildren, Gaven, Makayla and Kohen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Romero; and a brother, Henry Louis Maxwell.
