Brenda G. Guidry

Brenda Gale Guidry was born in Crowley on Dec. 8, 1950, to the union of her parents Lenell and Birdell Lyons.
She worked as a daycare provider and loved cooking, singing and helping others
She passed away on Aug. 8, at the age of 65. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Batiste Guidry Sr.; her brothers, Emory Bennette, Lyn Lyons, Charles Lyons and Lionel Lyons; and one sister, Marie Lyons.
She leaves to cherish her memory her five sons, Joseph Guidry Jr. of Church Point, Joshua Guidry of Houston, Ronsanta Lyons of San Francisco, Donald Guidry of Houston and Cory Lyons of Crowley; and her daughter, Sheila Guidry of Houston; brothers, Fredrick Lyons of Springfield, Massachusetts, and George Lyons of Crowley; and two sisters, Christine Milstead of Crowley and Sandra Vallien of Houston; and a host of other loving family and friends. Brenda will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Agape New Vision Ministries located at 952 N. Western Ave. Crowley. Funeral services conducted under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Damon will began at 2 p.m. at the church. A burial service will follow at Good Shepard Cemetery in Branch.
