Carrie Mae LeJeune
A Mass of Christian burial for Carrie Mae LeJeune, 81, of Midland will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Midland on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. with Father Clint Trahan officiating. Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from noon until 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral Mass. Carrie will be laid to rest in LeBlanc Cemetery.
Carrie was born in Midland on May 28, 1933, to the late Ignace LaComb and the late Eva LaBauve LaComb. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Dec. 15, 2014. Carrie was a homemaker who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was a lifelong resident of Midland. Carrie loved to cook, quilting and doing puzzle books. Most of all Carrie loved spending time with her family at family get togethers. Carrie was a kind and loving person and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carrie is survived by, two sons, Leroy LeJeune (Roxanne) of Iota and Donald LeJeune (Edith) of Lyons Point; two daughters, Priscilla LeJeune of Midland and Lisa Hoffpauir (Dwight) of Kaplan; nine grandchildren, Channon Prejean (Chad), Lucas LeJeune, Alicia LeJeune, Carrie LeJeune (David Coleman), Martha LeJeune, Michael Kibodeaux (Jayme), Olivia LeJeune, Jennifer LeJeune (fiancée Colter Wilson) and Haley LeJeune; eight great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Prejean, Kaleb Coleman, Madison LeJeune, Kaitlin Prejean, Kyle Coleman, Tristen Kibodeaux, Phillip Kibodeaux and Preston Kibodeaux.
Carrie is preceded in death by her parents, Ignace and Eva LaComb; her beloved husband, Phillip LeJeune; brothers, Chester LaComb Sr., Sanford LaComb, Floyd LaComb Sr. and Hilliard LaComb; and sisters, Lilly LaComb Quebodeaux and Verdie LaComb Mantle.
Carrying Carrie to her final resting place in LeBlanc Cemetery will be Lucas LeJeune, Michael Kibodeaux, Chad Prejean, Colter Wilson, David Coleman Jr. and Randy Trahan.
