Chandler Wayne Cormier

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church for Chandler Wayne Cormier, 28 of Carencro, on Monday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. with Father Clint Trahan officiating.
Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. by Tom Sommers. Visitation will resume on Monday morning at 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Cormier, Colton Kibodeaux, Bryan Torrance, P.J. Boulet, Jake Dupre, Matt Baronet, Colby Smith and Ian Gall.
Honorary pallbearer will be Maddix Cormier.
Chandler was born in Crowley on May 31, 1987, to Martin Wayne Cormier and Diana Touchet Cormier. Chandler loved to ride four wheelers, politics, and playing his guitar. He also loved sports and spending time with Maddix. Chandler was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chandler is survived by his parents, Martin and Diana T. Cormier of Carencro; two brothers, Martin Timothy Cormier and wife Annie of Mermentau, and Maddix Lee Cormier of Carencro; one sister, Bonne Lee Cormier of Carencro; his grandmother, Theresa Touchet; one niece, Truley Grace Cormier; and one nephew, Jax Michael Cormier.
Chandler was preceded in death by grandparents, Linus Touchet, Mikezile and Clara Cormier; and one uncle, Timothy Paul Touchet.
