Charles Robert Fulkerson
A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 16, at 3 p.m. at Family Life Church, located at 2223 Dulles Drive in Lafayette, for Charles Robert “Chuck” Fulkerson, 62, who died peacefully at his cabin on Toledo Bend Lake on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.
Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A reception will follow the service in Building J on the church grounds.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Carol Endris Fulkerson; one daughter, Amy Fulkerson; one son, Sam Fulkerson; two stepdaughters, Lindsey and Amy Drounette; and one stepson, Chris Drounette; one sister, Flo F. Faulk and husband Mike; his grandchildren, Bennett DeRouen, Zeb Fulkerson and Rhett Broussard; and his nephews, J.W., William and Michael Faulk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae “Billie” Cleveland Fulkerson and Jack Martin Fulkerson; and his brother, Jack William “J.W.” Fulkerson.
Chuck was born on Jan. 10, 1953, and was a native of Crowley and a resident of Lafayette. He was truly a genuine person who never met a stranger. His love for God, his family and friends was extraordinary. Chuck had a passion for gardening and was an avid fisherman. Over the course of his life he touched and inspired many people and will be missed dearly.
