Christopher Pastor
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at St. Michael Catholic Church for Christopher Pastor 57, who died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, in Crowley.
Fr. Billy Massie will celebrate the Mass and the burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, until 9 p.m. and continue Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Knights of Columbus.
Chris was born Aug. 29, 1958. in Crowley. He was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was a 1978 graduate of Crowley High School. He owned and operated his own plumbing business. He was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council 5499. Chris enjoyed fishing and was a master at woodworking. He loved family gatherings and especially his time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Abshire Pastor of Crowley; two daughters Tara Pastor Stevens and husband Christopher of Morse, and Felicia Pastor of Crowley; one son, Zack Pastor of Crowley; his mother, Helen Sonnier Pastor of Crowley; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Isabelle Stevens and Roman Melancon; three sisters Pearl Pastor Reynolds and husband Robert of Crowley, Susan Pastor Guidry and husband Chuck of Crowley, and Elaine Pastor of Crowley; and three brothers, Michael Pastor and wife Alice of Crowley, John Wayne Pastor of New Orleans, and Lora Pastor Jr. of Crowley; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Zack Pastor, Paul Gauthreaux, Brian Stelly, Jason Pastor, Ivy Abshire, James Iglenski, John Wayne Pastor and Donald Wayne Pastor. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael, Markeith Aguillard and Lora Pastor, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father Lora “Poorboy” Pastor Sr.; and two brothers, Donald R. Pastor and Julien J. Pastor.
