Claire Elizabeth LeJeune

It is with heavy hearts the family of Claire Elizabeth LeJeune, 20, who died surrounded by her family, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Lafayette General Hospital, announce a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota.

Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Claire was born Nov. 18, 1994, in Jennings. She was a 2013 graduate of Iota High School and was currently attending McNeese State University pursuing a career in accounting. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, Marcus and Karen Landry LeJeune of Iota; one sister, Amanda LeJeune of Lake Charles; two brothers, Blaise and Kendrick LeJeune both of Iota; her maternal grandparents, Sidney and Geraldine Landry of Jennings; her paternal grandmother, Marjorie LeJeune of Egan; and her godparents, Edward and Jackie Landry of Welsh.

Claire is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Larry Joseph LeJeune Sr.

Pallbearers will be Blaise LeJeune, Kendrick LeJeune, John Dooley Hebert, Brennan Bobbett, Emmett Bobbett, Corey Landry, Cullen Prejean and Taylor Prejean.
